Hey I'm sitting here with the door unlocked
Hoping and wishing you'll come in and start and never ever stop
We are numb we are dead our lives are lost
The grim unending necessary drugs
In their dozens and dozens of lovely forms
Potions and powders and pretty pills
The telephone and the cable and the doctors bills
The blood flows through our veins like mud
Brains shift like reptiles in the summer sun
But under our moon this is love
Somewhere a schoolgirl sits with her legs apart
And a crooked old man with a purple heart
Is forgiving and forgetting everything he ever taste
Uppers and downers and inside and outers
And all you ever do is stay in one place
Our blood flows through out veins like mud
Our brains shift like reptiles in the summer sun
I remember a boy that would fly
Breathlessly through an ocean sky
But under our moon this is love

For me this is a wonderful break up album. It’s not all sullen because these things in life are always emotionally mixed and the album reflects the mood swings all done without clobbering you over the head or overly forcing the subjects to fit specific places in the listeners consciousness Tommy Dog
